the theft of identity is identity theft lol but what some examples would be social engineering which is some1 pretended to be someone else to gain personal info from who ever where ever it is most commonly used when they talk to a company or w/e and pretty much make up a plethora of lies to gain access to the other persons trust to make them think that they are who they say they are and social engineering is used to gain access to accounts thattypically would have credit card info so yeah there u go
